Ten days before 9/11 Elliot(Nick Nolte), An American CIA operative suddenly disappears from his post in Europe under mysterious circumstances, having discovered crucial information on the worlds security, leaving his friend, French intelligence agent Irene(Juliette Binoche), unable to contact him. One day, out of the blue, Irene gets a call from from Elliot asking her to track down his daughter, who he hasn\'t seen since abandoning her 10 years before. Irene agrees to help with the reunion in Paris, but nothing quite goes according to plan thanks to the appearance of deranged and unscrupulous killer William Pound(John Turturro).

Fast paced espionage thriller starring Oscar winner Juliette Binoche as a French intelligence officer caught in the midst of a terrorist plot whilst babysitting missing CIA operative Nick Nolte’s 2 children, Nick Nolte resurfaces after 10 years with key information pointing towards another 9/11.
Juliette Binoche possesses the confidence and intelligence in her acting that translate over into her character perfectly, and ably supported by seasoned and fresh talent in Nolte, Turturro, forrestier and Riley. The plot is a little thin at times but the pace and execution of the movie allows the film to flow and entertain, the introduction of Turturro’s unstable killer adds another dimension to the danger and intensifies the suspense as his motives and presence lie menacingly in the shadows..

Like many of the other films I’ve watched on this site, it’s not a film I’ve heard about, but really appreciated watching. I wasn’t sure what to expect but glad I watched it.
It’s mostly in French with Subs, with breakout’s into English, but don’t let that put you off.
The plot keeps you guessing along the way, with some hard to swallow but interesting twists.
