Jayne (Parker Posey) and Laura (Demi Moore) are two sisters who need to return home to help with their crude but endearing fatherJoe(Rip Torn) deal with early onset of Alzheimers. When they return to their childhood home to help their father, they face difficult often comic situations. The two daughters argue back and forth over whose job it is to take care of their father and with completely different personalities they argue over everything from the past as well. It doesnt help that daddy has a live in stripper/druggie named Shelly ( Ellen Barkin) hanging around, or that hes convinced there is buried treasure in the backyard.
