1968 and a US Army reconnaissance patrol gets lost in the central Highlands of Vietnam and finds itself in deep trouble. This is seen through the eyes of MoPic the patrols cameraman.
The cameraman is not simply recording the action but is trying to make a documentary that can be used as a training video for new recruits. The six members of the unit share their diverse experiences, both individually and collectively, to camera while bullets fly around them and MoPic points and shoots. Rather than a simple routine mission, the crew find themselves embroiled in a battle for their lives while hoping to return with the film that accurately reflects the realities of combat warfare.

Robert Ebert from Chicago Sun Times calls it BRAVE & ORIGINAL.. Deserves a place by itself among vietnam films, I have never seen a combat movie that seemed this close to the actual experience. Impressive performance by unknown actors in this low-budget Vietnam drama. The story is being told in the form of a documentary; a camera team follows an Army unit in pursuit of Charlie. Filmed in Southern California. The movies producing company itself is called 84 Charlie MoPic.
