The Long-awaited adaptation of the hugely popular first person shooter game in which Jack Carver, a retired Special Forces Officer, is now a contract for hire. Set on an island in the Pacific Northwest populated by strangely mutated creatures, Far Cry sees Carver transporting a top reporter to the lair of a private and secret science research facility, guarded by brutal mercenaries.

Far Cry, Best selling FPS gets a movie makeover, loosely based on the game in that there it is set on an island with plenty of cannon fodder. Til Schweiger is Jack Craver, retired Special Forces one man army, tour boat captain and laid-back wiseacre.
Genetically engineered soldiers are being tested on the island by government funded whack job Dr. Lucas Krieger and his small army of mercenaries. Hot shot reporter Emmanuelle Vaugier is close to breaking the story and hires Jack to take her to the Island to gather evidence, where they are captured and what follows is gung ho gun totting carnage.
Uwe Boll employs every cliché in the book with stocky scripting but pacey direction; coupled with a winning performance from Nothing Simple About Him Til Schweiger, make this a predictably enjoyable, fun filled; turn your brain off action-packed comedy.
