Anthony Hopkins writes stars and directs this abstract look at a man’s disassociation between reality and dream. As a film director, he’s living in a largely fictional environment to begin with, but when he starts to write real events into his script and starts to hallucinate the fictional characters the line between real and fantasy are so blurred that even we are anable to process the information put in front of us.

With a stellar cast consisting of Hopkins himself, Christian Slater, Michael Clark Duncan and John Turturro, there is no shortage of scene presence or acting and the weird muddled flashbacks only heighten the evidence of the madness in Hopkins’ mind.
